Why Not Have a Foam Dance Party at Your Next Indiana Event

The term “foam dance party” is really confusing to a lot of people. What is it? Why would someone want to do play in foam? Where can you find one?

A foam dance party can be simple with foam pouring out of a machine into your back yard. You can also contain the foam in an inflatable pit or you can get really elaborate and add black lights disco balls and loud music. And if you wonder why everyone likes them? Just remember how fun it was to play in a bubble bath when you were a child. And then multiply that feeling again and again. Not only is it fun to be in the foam…but watching the bubbles float up through the sky is an entertaining experience.

In the past you could find foam dance parties at colleges but they are becoming more and more popular each year for the average backyard party. Of course there are always a lot of questions when the subject of the foam party comes up. I’ll try to answer some of them here:

* The foam is a specialty foam although you can actually use baby shampoo if you don’t have foam available.
* Foam Machines and Pits can be found at Specialty Party Rental Companies
* If you’re more of a DIY type person….you can find instructions for building your own foam machine on the internet. They are fairly simple to make.
* Nope…you’re not supposed to be naked. Clothing is good!
* Foam parties can work for all ages. You can adjust the amount of foam that’s filling the area to meet the needs of your guests.

Generally you’ll want to have your event outside and for safety’s sake you’ll need an area that isn’t slippery when it’s wet. Some inflatable foam pits have vinyl bottoms but most are just inflatable retaining walls.

If you rent equipment the cost for the parties generally runs from $300-$2000.00 depending on the amount of foam needed and the length of time for your event. This year you’ll probably see foam parties at Company Picnics, Birthday Parties, College Events, Fundraising parties and festivals.
