There are a lot of people who believe in luck and others do not. The people who do not believe in luck, say that it is we who make our fate, whereas other people say that there are a lot of things that are beyond our control and for that reason we need prayers and well wishes for the things to happen. Well everyone has their opinion and it must be respected. The Good Luck Party can be made really exciting with the Good Luck Party Games, as well as the Good Luck Party Decorations.
Good Luck Stories
This can be a very interesting event in which all the participants are asked to share the different good luck stories that they have experienced in their life. Any participant who wants to share their story can come to the front and face the audience and share their story as to what happened in a specific point in time in their life and how things turned with their good luck charms and prayers. Every participant will come one by one who would want to share their story and will get a prize for sharing their story so that every one will feel encouraged to come up and share their part. You can add this event in your Good Luck Party Games, which will be considered very interesting by your guests.
Good Luck Face To Face
This is another very interesting Good Luck Party Game in which you can ask from your audience that you need two people, one who will speak in favor of the good luck and the other one will speak against it. Make your participant sit face to face. You will be the host of that conversation and can ask different questions from the two speakers. It is better that you will be able to get to a conclusion from the conversation, It does not matter what that conclusion is. At the end you can tell the audience that they can ask different questions from the two participants, which will be a really good way to involve every one.
Good Luck Parties can be really interesting and fun for all, but it depends a lot on the way you have planned your party. The above two Good Luck Party Games mentioned can be really interesting for all, so go ahead and plan your Good Luck Party.

Indianapolis 500 Party Games for an Auto Car Racing Themed Event
A successful Indianapolis 500 party will definitely require a lot of arrangements and for that reason you have to be sure that every thing is in a perfect order. For this party, you need to see as to how much of a budget you have. If you have a limited budget then this party can be arranged at home, but if you have a strong budget then this can be arranged as an outdoor party, with lots of fun and excitement.
Race The Cars
With arranging the Indianapolis 500 Party as an outdoor event, you can get a race track for a few hours where you can arrange the race. For this event you can rent out the cars as well and it would be really good if you hire a professional who can arrange all this for you. The cars can be rented according to the number of the individuals who want to participate in the race. The laps for the race can be set according to the budget you can come up with. The participants must be informed about the rules of the race and must wear all the protective gear that is needed and provided by the race track owners. The participants who will win the race will be known as the champ of the Indianapolis 500. You can add this exciting event as an Indianapolis 500 Party Game.
Wear A Hat
In this Indianapolis 500 Party Game, the participants have to run to a table where there would be hats placed, the number of the hats would be one less in number compared to the number of the players. The players are going to run to the table when the checkered flag is dropped and wear the hats, there would be one person who is going to be left without the hat who is going to be eliminated. This game is going to go on till only one person is wearing the hat and will be termed as the winner of the game Wear A Hat and will be awarded a prize.
It is really important that the party should be arranged in a way that everyone can have fun and will remember it for a long time to come and should feel really good about the arrangements.

Lobsterfest Party Games For Kids and Adults
The main purpose of the parties is to provide everyone with fun filled moments. Among such parties is the Lobsterfest Party. It is really important that you have a very proper plan and arrangements so that every individual can have a good time and for that make plans for the food that you need to cater as well as the Lobsterfest Party Games. A couple of games that you can plan for your Lobsterfest Party are as follows:
Catch A Lobster
This is a very interesting game in which you have to fish out the lobsters from circled area in the center of the room. This lobsterfest party game can also be arranged as an outdoor game as well. Just outline a circle on the ground and put a couple of toy lobsters of two different colors and hand a fishing cord with a magnet on its end. Make two teams representing the colors of the lobsters for example if the lobsters have a color of orange and purple, then the teams will be named Orange and Purple. Every team will consist of a couple and they have to pick the lobster that represents the color of the team with their fishing cord that has a magnet at its end. One partner has to stick the lobster to the magnet and lift it and the other partner will be holding the bucket in which they have to put it. As a rule, no one is allowed to touch the lobster with their hands. The team who catches the most lobsters will be the winner.
Pass On The Lobster Cards
This is a very interesting lobsterfest party game. In this game, there are lobster cards on which there are different things written such as dance on one feet, tell two lies that you say the most and the different ideas that you can think of. In this game, you need to shuffle the cards and then ask everyone to sit in a circle and pass on the card from one person to another and have some music in the background. As a rule, the person who is playing the music is asked to not look at the people who are passing on the cards and to switch the music off after a few. Whosoever will have the card in their hand will be the one who is going to perform the thing written on the card. This has been becoming the most interesting lobsterfest party game.
Lobsterfest party games should be very creative as it will involve all the participants and will give everyone a time where everyone should feel at home and spend a time to remember.

Red Hat Party Games for Silly Ladies Wearing Purple Dresses
Another very interesting party concept is having a Red Hat Party. There is a red hat society, which is a group of women who wear red hats and purple dresses to the parties. The poems by Jenny Joseph is being considered the main inspiration for having these Red Hat Parties. These parties can be made really interesting with the addition of Red Hat Party Games in which everyone will have a chance to participate.
Don't Dance With A Red Hat
This is a game which will definitely surprise all your guests. In this Red Hat Party Game, you need to tell your men audience that they must not dance with the lady who has a red hat on. Now what happens in this game is that a lady is given a red hat to wear and she will go to another lady who is dancing with her partner and will put the red hat on her head and that lady will have to find another partner. Now the lady who just lost a partner will go to another couple and will put the hat on the head of another lady who will then have to find a new partner and thus the game will go on and on till the participants are invited to play another game.
Grab The Candies
Well this has been a very interesting Red Hat Party Game that I am going to share with you. In this game, you have to have plenty of candies filled in a bowl. Put the bowl on the table and ask the ladies to grab as many candies as they can. After this, some ladies will grab one or two and others might take a handful of candies. Now when this process is over just ask the ladies that they do not need to eat the candies as yet, but now for each candy that they have taken, they have to share something about themselves. This game will be really exciting when everyone will start telling about themselves for each candy that they have taken.
There can be a lot of other Red Hat Party Games that you can think of, so that all the guests just have a really good time. Just remember that the games that you are going to design must be really interesting and should be designed as a professional as the ones that you have read and better.

Retirement Party Games Creating a Happy Work End
Every person has a different way of responding to one single situation and retirement is one such situation. Some people would feel happy about it on the other hand some would feel really bad. The party must be focused on acknowledging the qualities and the commitment that the individual has given to a specific institution, which must be mentioned in bold words. It must be remembered that whatever Retirement Party Games you come up with must be sorted out intelligently.
Funniest Story of Retiree
This is a very simple game. The retiree must be the focus, so he or she must be sitting in the first lane of your sitting arrangement. In this Retirement Party Game, every participant is asked to come forward and tell a funny story or a funny experience or an interesting experience about the person who is getting retired. It must be taken into great consideration that all the stories must be listened to first by the party organizers because if they feel that any story is offensive or can be perceived negatively must not be shared so that a bad air can be prevented in the party and everything just goes well and as planned. The person who will share the best story will be termed a winner with the show of hands and the person getting retired will be handing out the prize and will be having a picture with him or her who shared the story.
Time To Learn
The person who is getting retired is a book of wisdom who has gone through a lot of different times in his life and has seen the ups and downs of a company, which can be shared by him at the end of the party. Just ask the retiree to come forward and share the words of wisdom so that everyone can learn from him or her and can add that valuable information to their knowledge base so that they can utilize it in their life. After the words of wisdom are shared, the entire team can present the retiree with a scrap book with photos arranged of him or her at different times or a movie of different times, which are obviously a good memory and will always be a refresher of the different events for that person.
We all are going to retire at one point in time in our lives, so we have to make sure that the person who is getting retired must be acknowledge with words of kindness and must be made a time to remember. As a last word, select the Retirement Party Games that are the best.

Seventies Party Games a Disco Era
Every party that is based around a specific era is considered to be really interesting, because every participant has to represent the era through their costumes, their styles, shoes etc. Seventies era was known to be the era of change with rock n' roll, famous TV shows etc. So you can ask your guests to wear the costumes of seventies, which definitely will give your party an outlook of seventies. It is also important that you decorate your party on the theme of seventies so that for a moment everyone would feel that they have flown back in the seventies era. You can spice up the party with the Seventies Party Games.
What You Did In Seventies
In this Seventies Party Game, the guests are asked to share the different things that they had been doing in that decade. Every participant must be sharing the different events that they can remember and one by one they will share their part. This game will become really interesting with different people coming up with the exciting experiences in their life. It would be just like a story telling event by the fire and it will definitely absorb all the guests who will be definitely waiting for the next guest to share their part of the story.
Guess It Ladies
The Guess It Ladies game will require you to collect the different stuff from the era of seventies such as arts and crafts, and other things that were famous and well known at that time. You will then place all the stuff on the table and will pick it up one by one and the ladies are provided with pen and paper and they have to write as to what is that specific thing. The lady who is going to guess the most items right is going to be the winner of the Guess It Ladies Seventies Party Game.
Sometimes it becomes really difficult for an individual to come up with the party games and it is not a bad idea to consult a professional to cater the party for you. You might think that getting a party arranged can be really expensive but at least you need to check out as to how much it is really going to cost you rather than thinking on what you have heard.

Psycedelic Sixties Party Games, Peace, Love
Sixties party means going back in the past. There might be some guests who were not even born in the sixties, so this party will be a very interesting experience in which a lot of people will come to know of a time that they know the least. They will come to know the fashion of that time by wearing the costumes with bell bottoms, sundresses etc. You must decorate the parties with the sixties party theme so that every individual will feel as a part of that time. It would be best to design creative sixties party games as well.
Dance To The Beats
This is the game for everyone. The rule of this game is that no one can say no to dancing in this event. Every single individual attending the party has to dance and there are no exceptions that host cannot dance, everyone has to participate in this game. The participants can bring their CDs and give that to the host so that their songs can be played. The best part of this sixties party game is that every participant is going to get a prize because they have prepared for the dance, which will be encouraging for everyone.
Paint The Wall
Sixties parties game means nothing else than fun and spontaneity. This game is no different than that concept. In this game you are going to put a white sheet of cloth on your wall and you will ask all your guests to go to the wall and paint the white sheet with whatever comment, suggestion or anything they come up with. When every guest has expressed their comment, then the host is going to walk up to that wall and will read all the comments one by one with the signature of the guests under that comment.
The sixties party's success is totally reliant on how well it is planned. There are people who like to design and create the parties themselves and there are individuals who seek professional help. It is good both ways because the main purpose of having a party is fun and that people would love to attend it. It is also important to note here that the sixties party games must be created and designed in a way that everyone truly enjoys it.

Texas Hold'em Games for Poker Card Party Themes
Having a Texas Holdem Party is an excellent idea where the adults will have time to sit together and enjoy their time. The party should be themed with the Texas Holdem Party decorations. You can make arrangements for a lot of snacks that can be enjoyed throughout, but it is important to mention here that none of the players are allowed to eat or have drinks at the table so as to avoid mess. For this reason, just designate an area where a player can go and have the food and drinks at another table that is chosen for that specific purpose. You can offer snacks at the game table that does not create mess and everyone can enjoy it while playing the game. The party must have creative Texas Holdem Party Games that can involve every individual attending the party.
Texas Holdem Costume Party
While you are sending out the invitations, just mention that every individual is going to wear a very interesting and different costume of their choice. The major purpose of having the participants wear such kind of costumes is to bring about a change in the trends of Texas Holdem Party Games. The different costumes are going to be a source of a good chat time for all the participants. The individuals who are wearing the most interesting costume are going to win the prize. As a prize you can give them a CD of the Best Songs of the year or any other gift that you can come up with.
Texas Holdem Dance
Texas Holdem Party is about mostly sitting and playing and this can just get the players feel tired. When you feel that the players are reaching that point, you need to tell them that everybody needs to just warm up for a little while and then switch on the songs and ask everyone to just dance for a moment and start dancing yourself and you will see that all of the participants are going to take part in dancing and then in a few minutes everyone is going to find themselves really active. There are no specific Texas Holdem dance steps, it is something that whichever way you want to dance you can and there are no specific steps to follow, just what you feel.
Every party needs a clever planning to move it in a way where everyone is involved in it and nobody is getting bored at any point in time and it would not be wrong to call arranging parties a science of its own, with its own rules and facts. As some parties can be stagnant in terms of sitting for long periods like the Texas Holdem, therefore the Texas Holdem Party Games must be thought out very carefully. You should bring the games into play from time to time according to the air of the party.

Twenties Party Games Old Fashioned Celebration
Arranging a party from the twenties is a real challenge. It is almost like going back a century and to understand the different dresses and fashions of those times. You must ask your guests that they need to dress up in the costumes of twenties. You can give some ideas regarding the different outfits of twenties to your guests by adding some links of websites where they can go and check the outfits that they would like to wear for the party. Along with that you need to decorate the party according to the twenties and also think over Twenties Party Games.
Modeling Photo Shoot
This can be a very unique idea for a Twenties Party Game. In this event, every individual has to give different poses and go through a photo session. This is definitely going to be really interesting because in our normal lives we do not pose and have pictures like that, but this game is going to provide an opportunity where everyone is going to pose and get their photo shoot by a professional photographer. For this event you have to hire a professional photographer who has been taking photo sessions of different models so that he or she can guide as to what poses would be best and the rest of the individuals are going to watch. At the end of the photo session, the judge is to go through the different pictures on the digital camera and decide which participant performed the best and will be awarded as the Model of Twenties for that year.
Dance of Twenties
Dance of twenties can be one very exciting event added to your twenties party games. I am sure that there would be not many guests who know the dance of that era, so you must have a professional dancer who knows the dance and can teach all the guests the different moves of the dance, which is going to be a very interesting session and can be something that is going to be a learning for them throughout their lives. You can also call it an executive course of dancing for an hour or so where everyone will have an opportunity to learn the different steps and moves from the twenties, which they can enjoy at any party they want to.
Twenties parties can be a huge success if planned right. I just say that again and again because I have seen parties becoming a huge success and have seen parties turning a failure with the lack of management and proper planning and I stress it a lot that parties need a lot of focus on how they are planned. Therefore when you are planning for the twenties party games, you can think of other ideas too apart from what we have discussed above.

Family Gatherings Make Them More Often
By having more family gatherings you will be surprised how close a family can become. Don’t wait till the major holidays, Christmas, Easter, Independence Day, and others to have a barbeque or have a great family sit down dinner.
Take some time in your busy schedule to plan a dinner with the family at least every month or every other month. If you don’t want to make a dinner, then have everyone bring something for pot luck. By planning by themes you can designate somewhat, what they are to bring. For example if you want a Hawaiian themed dinner with barbequed chicken and pineapples. Tell some of the family to bring some décor, that you can set out, such as leis and maybe a tiki torch.
Don’t be afraid to ask other members to bring items. You will be surprised how most are more than welcomed. By spreading the cost, it makes it more fun and then you are not caught holding the buying bill!
Planning ahead for a family dinner can also save you time later and money. If you purchase items that are on coupon for your dinner then you will find you are saving more. An easy method you can use to plan ahead is making a list, first start with a theme. Write this list on the top of a page. Then from your list you then can write down what you wish to serve. Then from your list you can take items of what you want to serve and give them to other family members, then from that you are left with what you will serve.
Using this method will cut down on your lengthy grocery list. You will find this method works for all holidays as well. A little bit of planning will save fuss in the end!

Baby Shower Decor, Games, and Gifts
Friday, March 23, 2007Baby showers can be a lot of fun. Many have games and some have gifts as well. In planning a baby shower you do not have to work hard to make it wonderful for everyone. There are simple steps that you can do to make a baby shower a lot of fun for the new mom to be.
First set a comfy chair for the mom to be and put balloons on it, a banner on the back, telling all it is her chair. By decorating the chair you do not have to go overboard on the rest of the place for decorations. You can keep your expenses down. You can take the balloons, maybe some crepe paper and her banner and deck out her chair.
Next set up a game, give every one there a pencil and paper. Put about ten to fifteen items on a tray that is related with a new baby nursery. For example, cotton, q tips, manicure set, booties, wipes, tissues, soap, powder, and so on. More items on this tray make for a better game. Cover the tray with a towel. Explain to the players they will get twenty seconds to look and study the items on the tray. After the twenty seconds is up, cover the tray back and then they have two or three minutes to write down what they saw. No peeking allowed! The person with the highest amount correct wins a small gift. The gift for this game can be a small spa gift, simple and inexpensive. Be it a small reminder of a fun time.
Another game that is fun is everyone must guess your birth weight when you were born. This game can be fun. Many times when this is played no one can guess the correct weight. Have the new mom write her birth weight on a paper largely, then fold it in four and hold on to it. Then give the players several minutes to give it thought and then they must guess. You can keep track of what the players guess. The one closest wins. Again, the gift can be a small memento.
These two games mentioned can be a lot of fun, for either a small or large crowd. All that participate are sure to enjoy their time with the new mom!

Why Do We Celebrate Birthdays?
We take birthdays pretty much for granted. When it is someone’s birthday we often have a birthday party for them, with a birthday cake and presents and sing Happy Birthday To You and have all sorts of fun. But when did the custom of celebrating one’s date of birth start to become important?
We have to go back thousands of years to possibly find an answer. Back during Roman Empire days, people did not know about astronomy and the titling of the Earth on it’s axis and stuff like that. They just knew that as winter approached, the days got shorter and shorter as the sun spent less time in the sky, and it was scary to them. They felt the sun was dying and at some point the sun would disappear altogether.
But around middle December, the days would start getting longer again. The sun got higher in the sky and so appeared reborn. This bought great relief and joy to the Romans, so much so that they created a festival to honor this day. The festival was called Saturnalia, named after Saturn the Roman god of agriculture.
The Saturnalia festival was huge, filled with joy and peace and merriment and gifts to the sun, and it lasted a whole week. And basically what the Romans were celebrating was the birth of the sun, which occurred every year at about the same time. In other words, the sun’s birthday.
Though often disputed, there is much evidence to support that the Saturnalia eventually became the day to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. Early Christians wanted to remove all pagan holidays, but Saturnalia was so popular that they wanted to keep it. Since Saturnalia was to celebrate the “birth of the Sun”, why not make It a day to celebrate the “birth of the Son”? In the 3rd century the official Saturnalia celebration day was December 25 (as prescribed by the Roman Emperor Aurelian), so that day also became Jesus’ birthday. And of course that day is celebrated pretty much the same way as Saturnalia, with joy and merriment and peace on Earth.
To make a long story short, as records started being kept of one’s date of birth, eventually people started celebrating their birthdays as they do the sun’s or Son’s. And so today we celebrate birthdays with joy and merriment and gifts. So we do as the Romans did!

Creative Ideas for Surprise Birthday Invitations
Ever thought about holding a surprise birthday party for someone close to you? If so, you must've given some thought about how difficult it would be to invite the celebrant's friends and family to attend it, without the celebrant knowing! A real surprise party planner will know how to cover his or her tracks, and that goes for sending surprise birthday invitations.
If you want to send out surprise birthday invitations, you have to put a little effort and creativity into not being found out by your celebrant! Discretion is key! The most important thing is for you to think outside the box. There should be less popular but no less efficient ways to present the invitation. Cards aren't the only format available to you!
If you need the guests to present something at the gathering, think about making something small and inconspicuous. A business card would be a prime example. You could make something that looks like an ordinary business card in the front, but contains valuable contact information and details related to the surprise party at the back. Something so small is sure to escape the celebrant's attention! On the other hand, it may be so small as to be easily lost. If you can, make sure to follow up by phone to make sure your target guest still has the invitation!
A coupon-type invitation would be a particularly appealing variant of the discreet invitation route. For the front, use colorful designs and vibrant wording like "ADMIT ONE (1) TO SARAH'S SURPRISE 30TH BIRTHDAY PARTY." Don't forget to include the contact details, as well!
Origami invitations would be a truly creative way to present your invitation. The words "You are invited!" may be a good, simple decoration for the front, leading the guest to unfold the origami and find the details for the surprise party preparations written inside!
Make sure to distribute your birthday invitations in person. Word of mouth is still the best way to go about making surprise birthday invitations; call up the friends and family of the celebrants, and leave no evidence. However, if you are not yet familiar with everyone who is invited, an invitation would be called for - this would be their identification card, as it were, when it's time to get together. They would need something to present at the door as proof that they are in fact invited to the gathering.

Some Frequently Asked Questions About Holding a Baby Shower
A baby shower is one of the best gifts you can possibly give to a dear friend who is about to experience a joyous moment. Whether or not it's for her first baby, having friends and family around to lend their support and express their congratulations is a great way to lift a mother's spirits.
But a baby shower would still call for some etiquette, which could be tricky especially if this will be the first shower you have ever thrown. Even if this is not your first shower, you may still be in the dark about some things. Here, we shall attempt to address some of the questions that people who throw baby showers tend to ask.
1. Should the event be held before or after the delivery?
Most baby showers are held one month before the delivery, but sometimes mothers will elect to have the showers thrown after the baby is born. This way, it will be easier for guests to pick out gifts for the baby, based on the baby's sex. Mothers who are having a hard time during their pregnancy may also wish to hold the shower at a more convenient time.
2. Should men be invited?
If the mother is comfortable with having male friends and family over, why not? Run your guest list by the mother to be sure if she will appreciate the company of the people who are slated to attend. The last thing you will want to do at a baby shower is make the mother uncomfortable!
3. Is it all right to hold a surprise shower?
Motherhood is a sensitive state, so you may wish to be cautious when holding a surprise party for the mother-to-be. There have been cases of successful surprise baby showers, of course, so go with your gut feel. Take into consideration how well you know the mother, as well; this is the best indicator if she will or will not appreciate having a surprise party held in her coming baby's honor.
4. Is it all right for guests to bring gifts for the parents?
Absolutely! Gifts for the mom or dad are not uncommon, and should be quite welcome. You shouldn't begrudge the guests their concern for the couple. It's also a bit tough picking out gifts for a baby who hasn't even been born yet, so some guests may feel more at ease picking out gifts for the people they already know well.
5. Where should the baby shower be held?
Usually baby showers are held in small, comfortable locations, like the home of the new parents. But it will also depend on the parents' wishes, as well as your budget for the event. They may want to keep it within their extended family's household, for example, or hold it at a church fellowship area.

10 Gifts For A 10 - Year - Old's Birthday
Yippee! It’s almost time for that once-in-a-lifetime 10th birthday. And that means gifts. So it’s off to the mall where a world of dazzling gifts stretches out before you. You barely know where to start.
There is help, though. And it comes from a group of 10 and 11-year-olds, themselves.
I asked this group to list their favorite recent birthday gift. They were thrilled to give me hundreds of choices. We worked hard to narrow the list down to the top ten.
Here goes:
* Electric Train –
An electric train with winding tracks and blinking switch-lights is an exciting gift. You can add new cars, railroad worker figures, and extra track throughout the year.
* Tattoos -
A complete set of stick-on tattoos can delight a 10-year-old’s heart. A set may contain animals, flowers, names, and names they make up on their own. Glitter tattoos and body paint is especially appreciated.
* Skateboard –
A colorful skateboard with solar-powered lights will add smiles to any birthday celebration.
* Wood-burning Set –
This set normally contains the hand-held electric burner-pen, wood blocks, stencils, paint and varnish. It provides hours of fun for any artist.
* Name Scroll –
A scroll comes with the person’s first name and meaning on a background of a painted tiger, lion or some other animal in nature. Included is a crest, painted borders and seals. It is ready to be framed and hung on the wall. It is beautiful enough to make any heart sing.
* Anti-gravity Boots –
Sure-fire anti-gravity boots can be the hit of the party. Guests of all ages will want to try them out. You may even get to walk on the moon with them.
* Gemstone Polishing Kit –
A gemstone polishing kit is a most unusual gift and people, young and old, want to try their hand at using it. Nothing beats seeing those gemstones emerge. The kit comes with a tumbler and powder to remove hardened clay that covers the gemstones beneath.
* Juggler’s Kit –
Jugglers’ kits are a dandy gift. They come with colorful balls that light up when in motion. The lights are battery operated.
* Kites –
Kites in fantastic shapes of dragons, giants and tiger sharks are winning gifts. Some kites are even self-propelled for those days when the wind is low. Many have lights that blink on and off.
* Heelys -
Heelys are sports shoes with an added bonus – they roll. A wheel is released in the back sole of the shoe. You merely have to lift the front of your foot and off you go. You can zip around crowds and get anywhere fast.
I hope this list provides you with a starting point. With a little imagination and help from a young assistant, you can find a dazzling gift for a 10-year-old’s birthday.

Beach Party Games - Having Fun In The Sand And The Sun
When having a beach party, games are an absolute must. Between the sun, sand and surf, there are plenty of ways to have a great time at the beach and satisfy your competitive instincts at the same time.
"Water-Balloon Challenge" Beach Party Game
Water-balloons and beach party games go hand in hand, especially in this instance. Players pair off, and are given one full water balloon each. Partners must face each other, starting out by standing 2 feet apart. Players must throw and attempt to catch the water balloon, taking one step backwards each time they catch it. Once a pair’s water-balloon is dropped or bursts, they must exit the game. The last pair standing are the winners of this beach party game.
"Fruit-Legged Beach Relay" Beach Party Game
At a beach party, games like this one can give everyone plenty of laughs. Players split into two equal teams, with a piece of fruit being given to each player. A bucket for each team is placed down the beach. The object of this beach party game is for team members to take turns shuffling down the beach one at a time with their piece of fruit wedged between their thighs, run back up the beach and tag the next person in line. The first team to place all their fruit in their bucket and return to the starting line is the winner of this beach party game.
Beach party games are a fantastic way to enjoy a day by the sea. And the best part is, getting sandy and sweaty doesn’t matter because you can cool off afterwards.

Circus Clowns Party Games - All The Fun Of The Fair
Circus clowns, party games and fun go hand in hand. What better way to celebrate your child’s next birthday party than with a clown party? Here are a few games to try:
"Carnival Coin Toss" Circus Clowns Party Game
Prior to the party, draw a bulls-eye target on a large sheet of cardboard. Number each ring of the target as you wish, with scores going lowest-highest from the outside in. At the start of the game, place the target on a floor or table, and gather guests a few feet away. Guests each take 3 turns to toss coins at the target. Every player wins a small prize, with the person getting the highest score after 3 turns winning an additional small prize in this fun circus clowns party game.
"Clown Dress-Up Relay" Circus Clowns Party Game
This is a great circus clowns party game for slightly older children. Prior to the party, gather together a few “clown” outfits – garish shirts, oversized pants and shoes, suspenders, wigs and a red noses – and put them in a box or basket. Gather guests together and split them up into teams small enough so that there is one outfit available for each team member; teams compete one after the other. The object of the game is to be the fastest team to have members race one-by-one from the starting line to the basket of clothes, put on a full clown’s outfit and run back again. The team with the fastest time is the winner. This circus clowns party game will give you great photo opportunities.

Bachelor Party Games - Saying Goodbye to Bachelorhood With a Bang
If you’re saying goodbye to single life with a bachelor party, games can add plenty of laughs and just a touch of raunchiness to your party. Here are two traditional party games – with a twist – that will make a good addition to your bachelor party.
"Pin the Skirt on the Girl" Bachelor Party Game
This is a take on good old “Pin the Tail on the Donkey”, and a classic among bachelor party games. Prior to the party, draw a large picture of a female in a bikini, and a skirt or dress on a separate piece of paper. Participants have to don a blindfold, get spun around 4 or 5 times and attempt to “pin the skirt on the girl”. The winner is the one who pins the skirt closest to its’ intended location.
"I went on a Boy's Weekend..." Bachelor Party Game
This bachelor party game is a variant of the memory game “My grandmother went to market”. Participants must sit in a circle, and the first player says “I went on a boy’s weekend…” and then elaborates on something they did or saw, for example “I went on a boy’s weekend and I stayed out all night”. Subsequent players must add to the list, each time repeating what previous players have said. Each player who breaks the chain must leave this bachelor party game, and the last man standing is the winner.
With a little creativity it’s easy to come up with ideas for bachelor party games. They can really be a lot of fun and get everyone into the spirit of having a good time.

60's Party Games for a Psychadelic 60's Party
When most people think of the 60’s, they envision hippies, flower children, psychedelic clothes and furniture, and the wonderful TV and movies from the era. If you’re hosting a 60’s party, games planned around the theme require little more than a little imagination. Here are a few groovy games to get your party started:
"HIPPY HEADBAND TOSS" 60'S PARTY GAME
This game requires a “headband”, and something tall and skinny to throw it onto (if you’re playing outside, a garden stake is perfect). Guests gather fairly close to the ‘stand’ to start with, and must toss the headband onto the stand. If they are successful, they take one step backwards; if they fail, they bow out of the 60's party game. In order to win this 60's party game, a player must be the one who can toss the headband onto the stand from the furthest distance.
"GUESS THE 60'S SHOW/MOVIE" 60'S PARTY GAME
Prior to the party, compile a selection of 60’s TV or movie clips onto a DVD (cable TV is a wonderful resource). Guests must form into pairs or small teams, and all guests watch the clips together. The object of the 60's party game is to correctly guess which 60’s TV show or movie is in each clip; the team with the most correct answers is the winner of the 60's party game.
60’s party games can be great fun if they are kept simple and tied in well with the theme. With a dash of creativity, you can make your 60’s party one that will be remembered long after the final lava lamp has been turned off.

70's Party Games - Winding Back the Clock With a Disco Fever Party
The 1970’s were an era that most adults are old enough to remember, but would rather forget. Between lava lamps, fondue, disco music and the rest, though, there was plenty to like about the 70’s. Party games that encapsulate everything good about the 70’s are fantastic if you’re hosting a 70’s-themed party.
"FONDUE RELAY" 70'S PARTY GAME
Fondue was one of the biggest fads of the 70’s. Party games that pay tribute to this delicacy are loads of fun. Prior to the party, prepare a large pot of fondue (it doesn’t have to be authentic – making it in a sauce-pan is fine!) and divide it among several bowls, one for each team. Also cut some crusty bread into chunks, dividing it equally between several plates, again one per team. Players divide into teams of equal numbers, take a plastic fork each and stand behind the starting line. The object of this 70's party game is to run to the fondue bowl, dip and eat a chunk of bread, run back and tag the next member of your team. This continues until all the bread on your plate has been eaten. The first team to clear their plate is the winner of this 70's party game.
"DISCO DANCE-OFF" 70'S PARTY GAMES
When it comes to 70’s party games, disco music is a must. All party guests gather on the dance-floor in this 70's party game, with one or two acting as “judges”. Remaining guests must dance one of The Hustle, The Bus Stop or The Nutbush (the birthday boy/girl chooses). Guests can have one practice run if desired, but from then on as soon as they make a mistake (if spotted by the “judges”) they must leave the dance-floor; the last person standing is the winner of this great 70's party game.

80's Party Games - Making Your Party a Night to Remember
Thursday, March 22, 2007The 80’s were a time when big hair, tight jeans, air guitar and awesome music ruled the roost. If you’re hosting an 80’s party, games that tie these elements together will provide plenty of fun all-round.
"AIR GUITAR SHOWDOWN" 80'S PARTY GAME
From Van Halen to ACDC, Poison, Motley Crue and everything in between, the 80’s were a classic era for rock music. What better way to pay homage to the 80’s than with an air-guitar competition 80's party game? In terms of 80’s party games, this is truly one of the best. Two or more guests (depending on numbers) have to act as judges, and crank up the music while everyone else shows off their air-guitar prowess. The music is stopped at intervals, with the least creative and flamboyant air-guitarist being voted off each time. The last person standing is the winner of this 80's party game, and the air-guitar champion of your party.
"NAME THAT TUNE" 80's PARTY GAME
When it comes to quintessential 80’s party games, “Name That Tune” is a classic. Guests can play individually, in pairs or small groups. Snippets from 80’s songs are played, and players must name each song by title and artist (half-marks can be awarded at the host’s discretion). The player or team with most correct answers wins this 80's party game.
Whether reminiscing about the era makes you smile or cringe, a party devoted to the 80’s – party games being an absolute must – is a fantastic way to remember a classic era.

90's Part Games - Making Your Party a Great One
People remember the 90’s for many reasons. Two of the most prominent are the fantastic music of the era, and the celebrities that dominated the headlines. If you’re hosting a 90’s party, games planned around these two themes are sure to be enjoyable.
"MUSIC MATCH RELAY" 90'S PARTY GAME
Prior to the party, make several posters with an equal number of 90’s bands/singers listed down the left-hand side of each one. On separate slips of paper, write a song title from each artist/singer. Stick one poster per team up on a wall (outside for extra room, if possible), and give each team their matching song titles. Players must take turns to race up, stick one song title beside its matching artist and run back to the starting line. Players cannot make any changes until all songs have been stuck on the poster. The first team to correctly match all songs and artists is the winner of this 90's party game.
"CELEBRITY HEAD" 90'S PARTY GAME
This 90's party game is sure to generate plenty of laughs. Prior to the party, purchase 3 cheap head-bands and prepare cards with the names of 90’s celebrities written on, that can be attached to the headbands. To start with, 3 players don a head-band, with a celebrity name then being attached to each. The object of this 90's party game is that players must guess who their celebrity is, by only asking ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions. Each time a player successfully guesses their celebrity, they choose someone to take their place in the game.

50's Party Games to Honor a Bygone Era
The 50’s were a time of Rock n’ Roll, Hula Hoops, poodle skirts, James Dean and everything in between. There are few better ways to pay homage to the era than with a party dedicated to the 50’s. Party games are essential, and here are a few ideas to start with:
"HULA HOOP CONTEST" 50'S PARTY GAME
The Hula Hoop is an icon of the 1950’s. Party games like this will bring back fond memories for those who grew up in the era. Prior to the party, purchase a couple of hula hoops. One player has to act as the time-keeper. Competing 2 or 3 at a time, players must try and keep their hula hoop spinning around their waist for as long as possible. Once all players have had a turn, the player who kept their hoop spinning the longest is the winner of this 50's party game.
"ROCK N' ROLL PAIR-OFF" 50'S PARTY GAME
This 50's party game will fill up the dance-floor, and allows people who don’t know each other to become acquainted. Turn up the music, and have one pair go out onto the dance-floor. Shortly afterwards, this pair breaks off and asks 2 more partners to join them on the dance-floor. The partnering-off continues (with the pairs breaking up and each asking a different person to dance) until the dance-floor is full, and the majority of the guests are up and dancing.
There are a few necessary ingredients for any good 1950’s party. Games and rock n’ roll music are high up on the list; get the mix right and your party will be a night to remember.

BBQ Party Games - Making Your BBQ Fun
If you’re having a BBQ party, games are sure to make the occasion enjoyable. Here are a few tried and true favourites:
"Human Scavenger Hunt" BBQ Party Game
In terms of outdoor BBQ party games, this one is fantastic if you have guests who don’t know (or at least a lot about) each other. Prior to the party, create a list of categories that people may fall into, giving one copy to each guest. Examples include “someone who shares the same shoe size as you”, “someone who speaks a foreign language”, or “someone who is a baseball enthusiast”. Guests must mingle and talk with each other until they are able to find someone who meets each of the categories on the sheet.
"Water Balloon Volleyball" BBQ Party Game
If it’s the middle of summer and there are going to be children at your BBQ party, games like this are fantastic to beat the heat. Prior to the party fill up LOTS of water balloons gather a collection of old towels and set up a “net” (or even a section of lawn with a piece of rope across the middle) in the backyard. Children split into two even teams and pair up with someone else in their team. Give each pair a towel. This BBQ party game begins with a pair from one team placing a water-balloon in their towel, and using it to toss the balloon over the line. The throwing and catching continues until one team misses, giving the other team 1 point. The first team to 10 points wins.

Birthday Party Games for Kids - Simple, Cheap and Fun Ideas
When planning a children’s birthday party, the cost is often the first consideration that comes to mind. But a fun party with lots of birthday party games needn’t be an expensive one. Classic birthday party games that are cheap and simple can also be loads of fun.
"Candy and Toothpick Race" Birthday Party Game
This is classic among birthday party games for older children. Prior to the party, buy some toothpicks and a good supply of Lifesavers candy. Split the guests up into even teams – 4 or more players per team works best – and hand out one Lifesaver per team and one toothpick per player. Team members must stand in a line one behind the other, with the object being to pass a lifesaver from the front of the line to the back of the line and back again, via a toothpick held between each player’s lips. If a team drops their Lifesaver they must start the race over again; the first team to pass their lifesaver up and back without dropping it is the winner of this challenging birthday party game.
"Balloon Jumping Relay" Birthday Party Game
When it comes to birthday party games, anything that involves balloons is fantastic. Set up this birthday party game by placing markers (buckets and pot-plants are good) about 10 meters away from the starting line, and blowing up plenty of balloons. Players split up into teams of 4 or more players, with one blown-up balloon being given to each team. Team members line up, and the first player has to put the balloon between his or her feet and jump all the way to the markers and back. If they burst or drop the balloon, they must return to the starting line, get another balloon if needed and try again. The first team to have all members complete one lap successfully is the winner of this fun birthday party game.

Casino Party Games - Getting on a Roll
Casino-themed parties are fun, entertaining and perfect for a variety of occasions. One way to set up casino party games is to have a number of “dealers”, plenty of play money (or the real thing if you and your guests are brave!) and a couple of tables set up with different games. Below are two casino party games that work well.
"Beat the Dealer" Casino Party Game
This game, one of the more popular casino party games, is played one-on-one with the dealer. The dealer turns over a single card, and the player must decided if the next card to be turned over will be higher or lower (aces are high). Once an incorrect guess is made the game ends, and prizes are awarded based on the number of consecutive correct guesses.
"High-Rolling Two-Up" Casino Party Game
As far as casino party games go, you can’t get much simpler than simplified two-up. All that is required for this casino party game are two coins, a long, flat piece of wood or something similar, and a reasonably open area in which to play. The “dealer” uses the wood to flip the two coins, and the players bet on whether the two coins will land on heads, tails or one of each. Players double their “money” with a correct head-head or tail-tail guess, and win 4 times their bet with a correct head-tail guess.
As part of a themed party, casino party games can be hugely entertaining, regardless of whether you win or lose. It really doesn’t take a lot to recreate a little bit of Vegas in your own lounge-room!

Class Reunion Party Games
If you’re planning your class reunion, party games are great for a few different reasons. They break the ice, encourage guests to reminisce about the past and add to the fun of the event. Here are a couple of game ideas:
"Classmate Photo Competition" Class Reunion Party Game
Everyone who attends the reunion must bring a photo of themselves as a child. In this class reunion party game, guests must try and guess who is in each of the photos, with the person getting the most correct answers being the winner. Alternatively, guests can each be handed a photo, and then have to find the person who is in the photo.
"So You Think You Know Your Classmates" Class Reunion Party Game
For this class reunion party game, put the names of all attendees in a hat, and get everyone to draw a name out of the hat. As the party goes on, guests must find out a secret from the person whose name they selected, something that no-one else knows about. Toward the end of the party gather the group together and allow everyone to share the secret they found out. Other guests have to try and guess who the secret belongs to.
Having a class reunion, party games included, can be a great way to catch up with faces from the past and reminisce about your younger days. When you haven’t seen people for 10 or 20 years, it can be difficult to break the ice and get re-acquainted again; throw a few games into the mix and your guests will be getting along as though they only saw each other yesterday!

Dance Party Games - Putting the "Dance" in "Dance Party
If you’re having a dance party, games that will get your guests up and moving are an absolute must. Throwing a few games into proceedings encourages everyone to get involved without feeling self-conscious, and can really make the event more enjoyable. Here are a few ideas to light up the dance floor:
"Musical Magnets" Dance Party Game
One person is in charge of playing the music, and the rest of the guests must dance. Periodically, the music is stopped and the person in charge of the music calls out a number. Guests must form into groups of that number, with any people left without a group having to leave the game. This dance party game continues until there are 3 participants left – the player left without a partner leaves the game, and the final pair left are the winners.
"Newspaper Dancing" Dance Party Game
Guests pair off into couples, and start off with a full sheet of newspaper on which they must dance. Anyone stepping off their sheet of newspaper is out of the game. The music is stopped at regular intervals, when each couple must fold their piece of paper in half. Towards the end of this amusing dance party game (and with their newspaper folded up into a tiny rectangle), couples will be struggling to stay on their paper, dance around on one leg and avoid knocking their partner over.
With any good dance party, games only add to the fun and laughs for all involved. Being part of a game can encourage everyone, regardless of how good a dancer they think they are, to get up, bust out a few moves and have a great time.

Elvis Party Games - Paying Homage to The King
When it comes to choosing a party theme, it’s hard to go past Elvis. Party games to get your guests up on their feet, great music and loads of fun will make your Elvis night one to remember. Here are a few game ideas to get your Elvis party off to a great start.
"What's the Next Line?" Elvis Party Game
Prior to the party, gather together implements that can be used as “buzzers”. Whistles, bells and shakers are all good. Guests gather around and split into pairs/small groups, depending on numbers. Hand out a “buzzer” to each team. Play snippets from 10-15 Elvis songs one after the other; if you want to make the Elvis party game easier, you can pre-prepare a tape or CD with just the chorus of each song. Someone from the first team to “buzz in” each time has to sing the next line – singing is an absolute MUST, with no points being given for speaking the lines. The team with the most points at the end is the winner of this great Elvis party game.
Elvis Statues
As a rule, Elvis party games should allow guests to show off their best dance moves. This is a classic Elvis party game that does just that. Someone has to be in charge of the music, with everyone else on the dance floor. Music is played, and then stopped intermittently; when the music stops, players must stop dancing immediately. Anyone who cannot stop in time or hold their balance has to leave the game. The last dancer standing is the winner of this energetic Elvis party game.

Mexican Fiesta Party Games - Tips to Spice Up the Occasion
There are a few elements that are absolutely ESSENTIAL if you’re hosting a Mexican fiesta. Party games and Mexican food are among the most enjoyable – especially when you combine the two!! Here are a few Mexican fiesta party game ideas to liven up your fiesta:
"Nachos-Eating Competition" Mexican Fiesta Party Game
This Mexican fiesta party game is deliciously fun. Prior to the party, prepare a plate of nachos (or just corn chips and dip) and divide it among several bowls. Guests have to pair up, and take one bowl of nachos per team. One team-member stands behind the other, acting as their ‘arms’, and must feed the nachos to their partner. The first team to empty their bowl is the winner of this Mexican fiesta party game. This game could end up being VERY messy, so it’s a good idea to play it outside and provide players with ‘bibs’ to protect their clothes!!
"Chilli-Pepper Challenge" Mexican Fiesta Party Game
Before the party, purchase a variety of chilli-peppers ranging in heat from mild to extremely hot. Guests start out by eating the mildest chillies, and if they can eat the whole chilli without needing a drink, they move onto the next hottest one. The game continues, with any player unable to eat a whole chilli (regardless of how hot it is!) or needing to drink, bowing out of the game. The last player standing - therefore the winner of this feiry Mexican fiesta party game - is the unofficial King or Queen of the Chilli-Pepper challenge!!
Whether they involve indulging in Mexican cuisine or not, Mexican fiesta party games are loads of fun and will really add to your party and make it one to remember.
