A baby shower becomes very interesting if there are some fun games to be played. Fun baby shower games keeps the guests and mother-to-be involved into and involved in the baby shower. This makes the shower more interesting. Listed below is the name and instructions of four fun and easy to play baby shower games.

Baby Anagram

The baby anagram game is played at most baby showers. It's easy to prepare and fun for the guests to play. Jumble up around 20 baby-related words/phrases and put them on a piece of paper. Make sure you have enough copies for all of your guests. Once you pass out the jumbled words and pencils, set a time limit. The person who correctly unscrambles the most words wins a prize. Some sample words: ipeard(diaper), sitbenas (bassinet), treesbidganef (breastfeeding), licoc (colic), raprengdtasn (grandparents), webnonr (newborn), ditmnhig nesegfid (midnight feeding), raragice (carriage), and so on.

Drinking Contest

This is a great game for couple showers. The guys definitely will enjoy getting involved. Fill up a baby bottle with apple juice or water. Have each guy take a bottle and compete against each other to see who can finish off their bottle first. Get the women involved. If there are a lot of guests, have two or three rounds of competition and then finish off with a championship round. Or divide them up into teams of three or four. Have a relay race with the bottles. Once a person finishes his/her bottle, the next person goes. The team that finishes first wins a prize.

The Mother Goose Game

All the guests can participate in this game. You will first have to find a wide range of different nursery rhyme lines. Whoever is the host of the shower will then read the lines to the guests with the exception of one word. The shower attendees will then try and guess what word is missing. The guest who names the missing word the most times will be the winner.

Fact Game

The only way for this game to work is if all the guests know each other in some way.

As each person arrives at the baby shower you will ask them to write a rare known fact about themselves on a piece of paper. This could be their first job, first car or a hidden talent. They will then drop the piece of paper into a container along with other guests facts.

Each person will then pick one sheet of paper and try and guess who it is. That is only one way to play this game, another way is get the shower host to read each one and have the guests guess who it is.

These are just a few games that can be played at a baby shower in order to create a friendly, positive and sociable atmosphere. It is always a great way to prevent boredom. You may even want to invent your own unique baby shower games. The only thing is that you should always make sure that it will suit most of your guests.
