Happy Face Parties Still Make Us Smile

Wednesday, April 18, 2007

The sunshine yellow of the happy face paper party goods are still the cheery symbol of all that's right in the world. These beautiful reminders to keep smiling do indeed brighten the table setting of most non-holiday parties.

A birthday, promotion at work, or just a group meeting can be more festive with these paper party goods to cheer us on. It's even better when used together with the pastel paper goods left over from Easter parties. Try using the pink and lavender napkins together with the happy face paper plates and tablecloth to get a little more mileage out of those after-Easter clearance items. The pastel foil colored candies still make great party treats even though they are marked half price the day after a holiday.

Since yellow is a primary color, red or blue napkins left from Independence Day can be used with them to decorate in late summer. A pool party or cook out is enough reason to add a little decorative touch to the picnic table. Those enormous sunflowers that were planted to the side of the house will add just the right background for this summer like table setting.

These happy face paper party goods really are great for any season and can be mixed with the solid orange and brown paper goods sold to decorate the autumn table. When used with browns these yellow and orange decorations are more festive than at any other time of year.

If children are invited it might be nice to organize some relays or yard games and give happy face stickers out to the winners. Another sunny idea is to decorate small bags with happy face stickers and fill each with candies or simple toys to use as favors. With names lettered on the side they become place-cards.
