A Sweet Sixteen Princess Party

Monday, April 9, 2007

Any little girl should have her very own princess party, whether she’s six years old or sixteen years old. You have the power to make that happen, preferably while she’s still young so the party won’t cost as much to throw as say the typical Sweet Sixteen Princess party! If that’s what she want though…

Most princess parties are naturally themed in pink and pastel colors, but you can make it a little more different and classy by using gold, clear or silver colors instead. This works great for an older girls’ party and makes it a bit more tolerable for the rest of the party guests to attend and have fun at.

Gold and silver decorations are a must for this. You can order some silver balloons or even clear balloons and fill them with silver confetti or ribbon. If you use helium and tie the inflated balloons in strategic groupings of three or four the party will look glamorous. Give the guests noise makers as party favors when they arrive. So you can have the guest of honor make a grand entrance with everyone making noise. Later on in the party, but don’t make it too much later or she’ll miss out on most of the fun.

Guests should dress up a little for this classy party so the ‘Princess’ won’t feel out of sorts wearing a nice dress. You can pick up some fun plastic tiaras to give everyone, so all can at the party can feel a little bit like royalty.

Fun drinking glasses can be plastic LED wine glasses. Turn them on before you fill them up and they’ll glow with cool colors for the rest of the night. You can even give them out as special party favors or just let the guests take them home.

Don’t forget to play some music at this party. You’ll need room for everyone to be able to dance so you might want to have it outside. If you do tell everyone to wear good walking shoes.
